    Dishonor !
Where is the support of the UN today for a new investigation into the "Lockebie affair" when it comes to human rights ?

After a 3 year investigation into the attack on PanAm 103, on 21 December 1988, were by the U.S. and U.K. Justice, 14-15. November 1991 two Libyan officials, Abdelbaset Ali al Megrahi and Lamin Khalifa Fhimah accused of being as bomber of PanAm-103.
Shortly after the publication of the "indictment" on the international media began a one-time pre-conviction against the two defendants. For example, in the breaks on CNN for years portraits of Al Megrahi and Fhimah, with the background of the downed Pan Am 103 cockpit, was presented for remembrance and influencing !

The 1991/92 U.S. and U.K. demanded extradition of the two defendants for prosecution under U.S. and Great Britain. Leader Gaddafi, have reject the order as no extradition treaties existed between the two states with Libya. In a forthcoming step to Leader Gaddafi, an UN embargo against Libya was threatened, by no delivery of Al Megrahi and Fhimah. to USA or U.K.
The UN embargo was implemented in 1992 in action.
The unfavorable situation for Libya during the UN's embargo, was exploited for a civil process in the United States against the Libyan officials, Al Megrahi and Fhimah, from clever lawyers of the families of Pan Am 103 victims.

Although the two defendants were not on this time legally sentenced as persons for the Pan Am 103 bombing, was the claim amount to $ 10 million per victim defined and legally confirmed by a U.S. court. For the 270 victims, Libya should therefore, total U.S. $ 2.7 billion will be paid!
    Appeals to make was forget...

Thanks to Professor Robert Black, the process was under Scottish Authorities are performed in Holland (Kamp van Zeist).

On the evening of 5 April 1999 a United Nations aircraft carrying Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi and Al Amin Khalifa Fhimah touched down at a military air base in the Netherlands.
The sanctions were spelled out in resolution 748, adopted on 31 March 1992, and resolution 883, adopted on 11 November 1993, and included travel restrictions, an arms embargo, and financial sanctions excluding financial resources derived from the sale of petroleum products and agricultural products. Subsequently, the Council suspended the sanctions by its resolution 1192 (1998) after Libya agreed to hand over two suspects for trial before a Scottish court sitting in the Netherlands in connection with the Lockerbie bombing.

Before the purely circumstantial trial began, deliberately decisive evidence from Scottish officials were manipulated to the detriment of Libya's and the accused, Abdelbaset Al Megrahi and Fhimah and falsified, for example the MST-13 timer fragment (PT/35) and various documents, the false date of the clothes sale by Shopkeepers Tony Gauci in Malta, etc.

The trial began at the High Court of Judiciary, Kamp van Zeist, on 3rd May 2000.
On Wednesday 31st January 2001 the panel of Scottish judges returned a verdict of guilty to the charge of murder against Abdelbaset Ali Mohamed Al Megrahi and not guilty against Al Amin Khalifa Fhimah, who was free to leave and return to Libya.

Megrahi was sentenced to the mandatory life sentence for murder.
Mr Megrahi was wrong convicted in 2001 of the murder of 270 people arising from the bombing of PanAm flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scottland on 21 December 1988.

On 23rd January 2002 the appeal hearing began at the Scottish Court in the Netherlands.
On 14th March 2002 the five appeal judges delivered their findings, dismissing the grounds of appeal lodged by Abdelbaset Ali Mohamed Al Megrahi and confirming that he should be transferred to a prison in Scotland to serve the remainder of his sentence.

    SCCRC review
Megrahi's lawyers applied to the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission (SCCRC) on 23 September 2003 to have his case referred back to the Court of Criminal Appeal for a fresh appeal against conviction. The application to the SCCRC followed the publication of two reports in February 2001 and March 2002 by Hans Köchler, who had been an international observer at Camp Zeist, Netherlands appointed by the Secretary-General of the United Nations. Köchler described the decisions of the trial and appeal courts as a "spectacular miscarriage of justice". Köchler also issued a series of statements in 2003, 2005, and 2007 calling for an independent international inquiry...

On 28 June 2007 the SCCRC announced its decision to refer Megrahi's case to the High Court for a second appeal against conviction. The SCCRC's decision was based on facts set out in an 800-page report that determined that "a miscarriage of justice in 6 points may have occurred".

In August 2009, the man convicted for the bombing, Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi was released from jail on compassionate grounds, to return home to Libya, terminally ill with prostate cancer.
The second appeal against his conviction was dropped despite multiple suggestions that a miscarriage of justice had occurred, that a key witness was bribed and coached, and that crucial evidence was faked during the original trial.

Mr Megrahi was was a political prisoner wrong convicted in 2001 of the murder of 270 people arising from the bombing of PanAm flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland on 21 December 1988.

Why to day the UN not support a new investigation in the Lockerbie-Affair and not support the Scottish Parliament's Public Petitions Committee ? Is the UN on one floor, on which has the TRUTH and
the RIGHT not have access ?

Al Megrahi and the Libyan government has never accepted responsibility for the Lockerbie-Attempt and has *never paid compensation to the Victim Families.
If is lawful and clear, that Mr. Al Megrahi and Libya with PanAm 103 bombing have nothing to do, which shows to day demonstrably after the current state of new investigation, the compensation of total U.S. $ 2.7 billions at the *Gaddafi International Charity and Development Foundation ex (GIFCA) in Geneva Switzerland, must be paid back.
