Fire brigade response to Lockerbie disaster
An interesting timeline of fire brigade activity on 21 and 22 December 1988 during the first hours of the Lockerbie disaster can be found here on the Glasgow Fire Journal website.
The timings look a little odd. From the AAIB report we know the actual explosion occurred at 0703, yet the report shows residents hearing noises and seeing "firey debris" at 1900 while a police patrol report an aircraft crash at 1903 - several minutes before any of the debris reached the ground. I suspect that the Fire brigade report may have got its timing wrong.
