  1. Interesting programme Lockerbie: The Pan Am Bomber? Former Scottish policemen George Thomson and Iain McKie agreed to appear in the film; Henry Woods Bell and John Crawford refused; a former Lord Advocate feigned surprise that bribes were offered; Scottish churchman Dr John Cameron complained that DERA forensic scientist Dr Thomas Hayes had not tested the Mebo timer fragment for explosives residue; Robert Black QC regretted that Scottish justice had "lost its honour"; and Michael Mansfield QC said: "Truth will come out in the end".

    Amen to all that!

  6. I wish I shared Mike Mansfield's optimism that "the truth will come out in the end." In my experience of a similar politically motivated fit-up it never does.

(Incidentally isn't this the guy who for a fat fee put Mr Al-Fayed's claims to a London Coroner's Court).
