Was the Lockerbie conviction unsafe?

This is the title of a Flickr Photo Download by David McCandless which reviews the evidence that led to the conviction of Abdelbaset Megrahi. There are a number of inaccuracies, but it is a useful summary. It can be viewed here.

  1. Yes, the Lockerbie conviction was unsafe.

And, because the US and Scottish investigators failed even to address seven basic questions as to why Pan Am Flight 103 was targeted, it remains a terrible miscarriage of justice.

The FBI's Richard Marquise and Scotland's Detective Chief Superintendent Stuart Henderson must now answer those questions.

It may be over 21 years after the event, but there's still time for the Lockerbie investigators and prosecutors to redeem themselves!

  2. Slick graphics, quite some research, no amazing insights. Too dismissive of Heathrow theory. Acknowledged two brown hardshells - okaythat's rare perception - but feels only one is represented in the debris. We don't know that, really. It wound up two different colors, at least...
    two cases, two bombs?
