The Conspiracy Files

BBC Two's autumn schedule contains a programme on Lockerbie in The Conspiracy Files series. The relevant portion of the BBC press release reads:

"Just before Christmas 1988 Britain's worst terrorist attack left 270 people dead. A Libyan intelligence officer was later convicted of mass murder, but he's now appealing against his sentence. So what wasn't revealed at his trial about the conspiracy to blow up a Pan Am jumbo jet en route from London to New York? The Conspiracy Files follows the trail of evidence from the Middle East, through Europe and on to North America, investigating the tangled web of claims and counterclaims surrounding the Lockerbie bombing."

One of the Producers of BBC's Conspiracy Files contacted the Archives Director at Syracuse University requesting photographs and other documents on the bombing of PA 103. When the Archives Director asked the Producer for a standard licensing and use agreement, the Producer imediately backed off and Syracuse chose not to provide any photos or documents. Here's an interesting artice on another bit where Conspiracy Files allegedly lied about what they were presenting in order to get content. Note that the letter from CF is almost identical to the verbiage in the request sent to Syracuse University - http://www.julyseventh.co.uk/j7-refuse-bbc-conspiracy-files-offer.html - How apropos that this is being discussed in this blog / forum.
