The Charles McKee/Monzer al-Kassar theory

The aangirfan blog today publishes a lengthy article flowing from the piece in yesterday's Sunday Express. It favours the "CIA operation against Charles McKee" explanation for the destruction of Pan Am 103. The article contains a useful list of Lockerbie dramatis personae (but once again repeats that defence counsel Bill Taylor QC has become a sheriff: he has not, but his instructing solicitor, Alistair Duff, has). The full article can be read here.

There are so many errors of fact in this story that it makes the whole story not believable.

Errors of fact are as follows:
    1. "The Golfer" was never a high ranking Scottish police official but rather a low level officer who had no access to any information of substance regarding the investigation.
    2. Oliver Revell never took any relatives off of Pan Am 103 on 12/21 or any other date.
    3. Oswald DeWinter was never a CIA agent and he has been totally discredited.
    4. The whole issue of CIA-DEA involvement in the bombing/drug smuggling etc has also been debunked--see Lester Coleman's admission in federal Court in September 1997 in New York where he apologized to the families for creating this hoax. Aviv never was believable.
    5. The entire issue of "Americans" at Lockerbie was brought out at trial and no eveidence was developed by either prosecution or defense that Americans were ever at Lockerbie searching for evidence.
6.Many of the assersions in the article contain allegations ort inferences--not facts or evidence. For example-- "the document is reportedly a German intelligence debriefing..." That statement contains no facts and certainly nothing which could be construed as evidence.
    7. The entire McKee/CIA/DEA/BKA involvement in the bombing was investigated and never had any credibility.
Much of the information in this article is rehash of other things which have been discredited. Just because someone says something does not make it true. Hence the difference between intelligence and evidence.
