I not...For my records what was the 9th allegation?

I note a former Hungarian politburo member has recently been imprisoned for his role in suppressing the 1956 uprising. That was 32 years before Lockerbie.bazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02338162927520376063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073021351804532798.post-19331737581057714602014-05-13T18:13:34.119+01:002014-05-13T18:13:34.119+01:00All,

That's history now, but, the same will always apply. Personally speaking, I like the way that House, Livingstone and Johnstone are dealing with matters right now

For the first time since 13th September 2012, an authority in Scotland seems to be taking us seriously.

Forgive the tint of my glasses but we, finally, have excellent lines of communication and appear to be facing people who have come across Descartes.

Robert. It's been 25 years after all. The people responsible for the foul-up were the more senior ones, who were probably over about 40 at the time it all happened.

At what point does it become possible for new eyes to look at this and figure it out? Could we have got to that stage?

It's not just time, it's improvements in policing methods. Half the stuff that went on in 1989-90 wouldn't and couldn't happen now, and for very good reasons. There would have been nobody in the room with Tony Gauci who knew which picture in the photospread was the suspect's. The whole process would have been recorded or even videotaped. And that's just for starters. Modern policemen, looking at what happened, must at some level realise that it wasn't right.

I'm not getting my hopes up just yet, but if JFM is doing anything, it's leaving a paper trail. It's getting the evidence of what went wrong in front of the authorities and into the records, where it will remain.

If they cover it up once again, in 2014, that's just one more layer of rottenness to be peeled back by the eventual inquiry which will reveal what a horrible disaster this has been. Of course, maybe they'll wait till everyone involved is safely dead before they allow a genuinely independent inquiry, who knows?Rolfehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17849975010197698907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073021351804532798.post-17799660061816847252014-05-13T01:01:22.118+01:002014-05-13T01:01:22.118+01:00"...and the relationship between JFM and Poli..."...and the relationship between JFM and Police Scotland has been considerably improved."

I think this is the first statement ever that does not depict a complete darkness.
Allowing the Lockerbie case scandal to be rolled up is unthinkable.
That is the price of foul play: the more you cover up, the more an unearthing of matters will harm you and the more you will have to fight it.
So forgive me for thinking: 'What are they up to now?'
sfmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02127645052255935678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073021351804532798.post-47807792118599406542014-05-12T21:19:08.862+01:002014-05-12T21:19:08.862+01:00I think it should be stressed that following the i...I think it should be stressed that following the intervention of Sir Stephen House, DCC Livingstone and Detective Superintendent Johnstone, progress regarding the allegations has been very promising and the relationship between JFM and Police Scotland has been considerably improved.Quincey Riddlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09196728122070096913noreply@blogger.com
