But I take your point, Rolfe, it's the baggage handler's point of view that matters when we try to make sense of the evidence.petehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05831322202596781171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073021351804532798.post-74308664102349317392016-03-29T23:21:55.050+01:002016-03-29T23:21:55.050+01:00It all depends on where you're standing in rel...It all depends on where you're standing in relation to the container. If you were looking at it from the front of the plane, once it was actually loaded, I suppose it would be the bottom rear RIGHT corner.

If only it had been loaded on the other side we wouldn't have this paradox. But since all the pictures and diagrams and indeed Bedford's and Sidhu's statements assume that the observer is standing in front of the open side of the container, front left it is.Rolfehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17849975010197698907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073021351804532798.post-45050591593572022862016-03-29T21:14:05.748+01:002016-03-29T21:14:05.748+01:00(Pedantry corner) That's bottom front left cor...(Pedantry corner) That's bottom front left corner as John Bedford saw it; bottom rear left corner as it was loaded on the aircraft.petehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05831322202596781171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073021351804532798.post-88321868589299217472016-03-28T23:55:40.641+01:002016-03-28T23:55:40.641+01:00If and when JFM clears Megrahi's name, it will...If and when JFM clears Megrahi's name, it will be by proving that the bomb suitcase was introduced at Heathrow airport and not at Malta. So, he was nowhere near when the crime took place.

As the professor says, the evidence of an explosion inside a suitcase loaded in container AVE4041, low down near the bottom front left-hand corner, is irrefutable. All we're arguing is the relative position of two suitcases. Was the blue Tourister on top of the brown Samsonite, or was the brown Samsonite on top of the blue Tourister? Was the suitcase that exploded on the bottom layer of luggage, or the second?

Such a small thing, but there it is. That's what it boils down to. The latter position puts the bomb suitcase on the feeder flight, therefore it's at least remotely possible that Megrahi was involved. The former position puts it in the container an hour before the feeder flight landed, and he has an unbreakable alibi.

Anyone who has read "everything" on the case knows this.

I have to say I am sick and tired of hearing about PT/35b. That scrap of fibreglass is a nexus of conspiracy theorising that has generated far more heat than light over the past 25 years. I can't deny it's intriguing, but it has diverted the attention of people who might have solved the suitcase problem years before I looked at it, and arguably kept Megrahi in jail because of that.Rolfehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17849975010197698907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073021351804532798.post-53764641210901208012016-03-28T20:02:56.406+01:002016-03-28T20:02:56.406+01:00The evidence of an explosion on Pan Am 103 is over...The evidence of an explosion on Pan Am 103 is overwhelming and irrefutable, and does not depend on the genuineness or provenance of PT35b. No further comments that ignore or sidestep that evidence will be accepted. I have read every thing on this case I know what really happened but I am waiting for JFM to clear his name first then you will be all shocked that both Governments on both sides of the pond knows what really happened but not going to tell you but I will in the name of my Aunty&Uncle who where burned alive in the Stockport air disaster in 1967 soon.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15127977471387619455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073021351804532798.post-9462276555412629352016-03-28T16:00:34.450+01:002016-03-28T16:00:34.450+01:00Why would anyone pay back any of the compensation ...Why would anyone pay back any of the compensation money? Pan Am was as guilty as hell. The only problem with the judgement was that Maier (who was entirely blameless) was saddled with the blame and the shocking deficiencies in the Heathrow security were completely overlooked.Rolfehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17849975010197698907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073021351804532798.post-80501995928053931362016-03-28T15:05:06.207+01:002016-03-28T15:05:06.207+01:00I hope to make Kreindler& Kreindler pay back a...I hope to make Kreindler& Kreindler pay back all the money soon as there is a federal court case coming soon watch this space.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15127977471387619455noreply@blogger.com
