It may be that they are exhausted and broken.

My personal preference would be for Dr Swire to lead a new appeal on behalf of relatives. No disrespect to the Megrahis but I feel Dr Jim's chances will be better. The Megrahis will be treated with the same contempt shown to their relative by the Scottish Justice System and by the liars in Government in various locations within the UK. They will not dare treat Jim Swire like that.

He is, in my view, the best person to challenge MacAskill's new "emergency" changes to the SCCRC remit designed with precisely this Appeal in mind. If MacAskill says otherwise, he lies, again.

Let's see if MacAskill is willing to say it is not in the public interest or in the interests of justice to test the conviction of the man held responsible for nearly 300 deaths over Scotland..... especially in the run up to a vote on Scotland's future.Jo Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08536467440869239587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073021351804532798.post-85300439641131378752012-05-20T22:16:00.218+01:002012-05-20T22:16:00.218+01:00It is a sad day when you can't even bear to wa...It is a sad day when you can't even bear to watch the lies STILL being peddled on TV news. I lasted five minutes just now before switching it off in disgust. "US relative declares she hopes he died in excruciating pain!" No mention of the grounds of Appeal, or the doubts about the conviction. Earlier in the day they had wheeled out the liar Marquise to do his usual script.

You know one thing has always intrigued me: these relatives, the ones who accept Megrahi was guilty. In their shoes, knowing this other evidence was coming out, was pretty convincing, so convincing that even the SCCRC had declared there were valid grounds....blah blah......I could not have simply ignored that evidence or sat singing LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA with my hands over my ears as people tried to tell me about it. Out of loyalty to my dead relative I would have wanted that conviction tested. I would have had to support the testing of it because I could not have borne it if there was even the slightest risk they had jailed the wrong man.Jo Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08536467440869239587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073021351804532798.post-37696550712658863422012-05-20T21:39:09.277+01:002012-05-20T21:39:09.277+01:00I wish to add my own condolences to the family of ...I wish to add my own condolences to the family of Mr. Megrahi.
I also want to voice my own strong belief that he was an innocent man who was shamefully treated by Scottish, British and American authorities.
Not only were these parties determined to condemn an innocent man but they were determined to protect the guilty.
The untimely death of Mr. Megrahi must not stop the campaign to clear his name.
Every effort must be made to identify and convict the real Lockerbie bombers and those who have helped to protect them from justice.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073021351804532798.post-30169241405794087282012-05-20T21:14:39.056+01:002012-05-20T21:14:39.056+01:001.
